Stitches in the Snow
For the second year in a row, a group of the Guild Members headed up to the snow for a fun weekend in Arrowhead. Thank you to Willa for organizing this fun event!
Our guild had a wonderful time up in Arrowhead in the middle of January. We knit, ate, knit, went shopping at yarn stores, knit, ate, knit, watched movies, knit, and ate….you get the idea. Progress was made on all fronts. We had a Cat Bordhi sock mini-workshop. Master knitting projects progressed. February Sweaters got on the right track. An American Aran Afghan was launched. Hats were started and completed. An angora scarf was well on its way from yarn purchased up there. Eve the latest Knitty patterns were on the needles.
Lots of Internet play, Ravelry and otherwise. Most of us ended up on each other’s “friends” list. We stocked our own library with our favorite books, magazines and patterns. The best part was we didn’t have to clean up before we went to meals or off to bed. We left everything set up from swifts to scissors left out to dirty coffee cups. It is my idea of Heaven.
Plan on joining us next year. The more the merrier. Willa
Join us on Ravelry for the Ravelry-mpics-
Strands and Stitches (Laguna Beach Knitting Store on PCH), has a team in the Ravelympics. For anyone on Ravelry who would like to join us, please do. We are on the team roster as "Strands and Stitches" and our team captains are Lindy and Sam. Please contact Lindy if you have any questions. It's for fun and for free!
